KISANGARA CULTURAL TOURISM CENTER
Kisangara cultural tourism center is located at Mwanga district in Kisangara town, 3 kilometers from the main road of Dar es Salaam to Moshi. Kisangara Cultural tourism center offers so many sites seeing such as hiking tour up to Kindoroko Mountain with forest activities , a trip to Nyumba ya Mungu dam, a visit to sisal factory and a visit to the carpentry and bricks workshops.From Kisangara cultural tourism center you will see Msafiri school and participate in a very attractive morning assembly ,class activities, playing with the kids and tree planting .
Nyumba ya Mungu (House of God) dam is a hydroelectric dam in Tanzania. It is in Mwanga District Kilimanjaro Region. The water runs down the slopes of Kilimanjaro in the deep valleys. These streams pour their water into the Nyumba ya Mungu.In nyumba ya Mungu dam we go on a finishing tour in a local canoe or just walk along the shores to admire the rich birdlife, enjoy the Harsho beach and seeing the sun set together with viewing mountain Kilimanjaro and the Uhuru peak from nyumba ya mungu. Tree planting and a visit to a tree nursery is also included on request.It is a very nice dam looking like a river and very attractive.
Mount Kindoroko is 2113m at its highest peak in North Pare. It is home to monkeys and many tropical birds.In Kindoroko Mountain we normally offer a full day hike tour, this hike starts from the Centre of kisangara and takes you through the lush forest. Climbing to the top for a wide view of Mount Kilimanjaro, Mount Meru, Lake Jipe and Nyumba ya Mungu dam.
Carpentry and bricks , we take you to the carpentry workshop where you can participate in the making of desks,chairs and different things from the timber. From there we go on a brick factory to see and observe the process of brick- making. we lastly finish a free visit through the local beer-brewing unit where the local beer is prepared from sugarcane.

Kisangara is easily accessible by public transport from Arusha, Moshi and Dar es Salaam. Get off at Kisangara bus stop, 12 km south of Mwanga.
